Are you interested in having a voice on ways to improve classroom conditions to effectively support student learning? Then you may be interested in serving on the Council to Improve Classroom Conditions.
The Council to Improve Classroom Conditions was established in February 2017.
In February 2019 the term for the Guidance Counsellor member is ending.
The Council’s mandate is to focus on priorities including assessment and evaluation, attendance, complex classrooms and inclusion, technology and data collection and reporting.
To maintain the balance required in legislation, one (1) new member is needed:
Membership Role: Guidance Counsellor
Regional Centre / CSAP: member can come from any RCE / CSAP
Start Date: February 2019
Deadline to apply: 12 noon on Friday, January 11th 2019
- Substitutes are provided to allow guidance counsellors to participate.
- Members' expenses are covered at the rates provided for the public service.
The Council is co-chaired by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the Nova Scotia Teachers Union, and has three additional members appointed by the department.
